Mary was not practically perfect, but ok

The actress that played Operation Mincemeat was dull, resulting in the musical lacking sparkle. Some might care that the libretto is different from the movie, as the subtitle for show indicates ("A new musical"). Adults who have never been to Broadway (or traveling productions of Broadway plays) might be equally enchanted with it. The kids loved it, and that was the point. Sticking closer to the books also meant that instead of pure fantasy, the story line begins to approach reality a little too much. It has some good new numbers, along with the old, very-much-loved ones. The resolution to the Banks financial woes is just trite.
